Shakuhachi in musical partnership with numerous other instruments, including guitar, theremin, marimba, and a "ruined piano" (a piano, which was found in a ruined condition, and which served as a source of sounds). The pieces are partly meditative, partly rhythmic. They express themselves in diverse soundspaces (metaphorically and acoustically), often as sonic textures, over which the shakuhachi "flies".
