Zen teacher Willigis Jäger reads stories, anecdotes and koans from the literary tradition of Zen Buddhism. Jim Franklin plays a mixture of classical pieces (honkyoku) and free improvisations, sometimes in alternation with the texts and sometimes as accompaniment.
